The Trier Thermal Baths Tour takes you to the three rediscovered thermal bath complexes from the time of the Roman city of Augusta Treverorum: the Imperial Baths, the Baths at the Viehmarkt, and the Barbara Baths, whose ruins still tell us a great deal about the daily life of the Roman population. The thermal baths were once magnificent buildings that were frequently and eagerly visited.
The Thermal Baths Tour offers a glimpse behind the scenes and into the architecture of these complex structures. However, a visit to the baths was about more than just bathing; people also met here to play sports together or conduct business. Through historical accounts and anecdotes, this era is brought back to life.
The tours take place on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 10:15 a.m. and start in front of the entrance to the Imperial Baths.
